In the middle school division 1st place and biggest fish of the tournament went to Dillion Roberts-Louria of Forest Grove for the 4lb. 12oz. redfish he caught.

[Hopedale] Thick fog this morning and thick with fish too. We got right on the fish the trout were flying in the boat for 30 min nonstop then they quit. However, all we had to do was keep moving up and down the same area on the troll motor to stay in the action.

Ft. Pierce Inshore - Offshore Report by Joe Ward (2006-12-14 11:14:40)
[Fort Pierce] The wind isn't keeping the snook anglers from fishing until the season closes. Most of the week the sea conditions were only good for the bigger boats and they reported sailfish, again to the north of the Ft. Pierce Inlet. The bite has been starting in 80 feet of water but, along with the sails you had to put up with the cuda's, sharks and the kingfish. Most of the kingfish reported were in 50 to 70 feet of water and taking a slow trolled live bait if you could find them.
Big Trout Biting Well by Rick Bennett (2006-12-14 09:00:29)
[Wrightsville Beach] Fish are still biting...my last report this year. The Rod-Man is out of the water until next season. We are adding a trolling motor to the boat and some other neat "customizations" I know you will enjoy. Even though I have been "out of the water", I have been keeping up with what's happening on the fishing scene.

High Winds, Cold Fronts, and Fire Trucks by Ron Presley (2006-12-12 11:06:40)
[Cocoa Beach] Cold fronts and high winds severly limit fishing. High winds and cold fronts have slowed the fishing in my area lately. One trip was cancelled and others probably should have been. Tomorrow, however, is another day and it seems like no one is more optimistic than an angler so we just keep going anyway.

[Hopedale] Super cold conditions had the day looking bleek but started late and got things going. Charles Johnson and brother in law Steve from Natchitoches la come with me every winter and usually limit out every time but the only day they could come down I could not make it, So I called on Capt Kerry to get the guy's out on the water and catch some fish.

Trout Bite Is Good In Deepr Holes by Joe Ward (2006-12-07 09:28:52)
[Fort Pierce] The catwalks of the South Bridge has been a good place to fish for the land locked anglers. They have been reporting good catches of sheepshead, snapper, flounder, croakers, sand perch and a few nice size black drum. Most of the fish were caught on a live shrimp. The trout both to the north and south in the river have been in the deeper holes along the flats. Remember that trout season is still closed and you need to handle the trout as little as possible.
Awesome Fishing Again! by Charlie Thomason (2006-12-06 20:25:05)
[Hopedale] Reds to the left and trout to the right! First thing Capt. Shane and I took our crews back to the spot that we had been limiting out everyday but the trout were gone?? So with the colder water temps we opted to move around and see if the reds were schooled up on the shorelines. Well we hit a couple of shorelines catching nothing but big girls over 27" so after getting 4 in the boat we moved to plan B.

Cleaning House by Charlie Thomason (2006-12-04 20:38:03)
[Hopedale] Limits of Specks and Reds are a sure thing right now in Hopedale!! Well, with the specks pretty much jumping in the boat and the reds eating everything we throw at them this report is plain simple. Every trip that Capt. Shane and I have taken out for the past three weeks have been limits of trout (25per person) and reds (5per person). We have been fishing around the areas of Four Horse Lake and Battle Ground Bay.
Inshore fishing report NE Florida by Bob Cosby (2006-12-03 14:43:23)
[Jacksonville] The fishing is pretty good right now, so it's a shame more people aren't trying to wet a line. In between northeasters the fishing has been really good. The water temperature starts out in the low 60's in the morning and usually gets up to mid or high 60's by the afternoon. The really cold weather isn't here yet, and most days are pleasant fishing, when the wind abates.
Mosquito Lagoon Florida Fishing Report by Chris Myers (2006-12-03 10:25:54)

High Winds In Ft Pierce Have Not Slowed Down The Fishing by Joe Ward (2006-11-30 07:42:12)
[Fort Pierce] Even with the wind and rain the fish are active. The inshore fishing this week has been good if you were brave enough to fish in the rain and wind. There were a couple of mornings that it wasn't that bad. On Tuesday my charter caught and released all the big trout we could handle. We were using a live shrimp and free lining it. Trout season remains closed in November and December.

Flounder and Snook Bite Good Inshore Ft Pierce by Joe Ward (2006-11-26 06:15:07)
[Fort Pierce] Flounder and snook bite has been good inshore and sailfish and dolphin offshore. The inshore fishing has been good even with the cold temps and the wind. The snook action has been good around both the North and South Bridges at night at the beginning of the our going tide. A live pinfish or a hand pick shrimp have been the way to go. I did get a report of an over the slot snook caught on a Flair Hawk in the Turning Basin.

[Port St. Lucie] Let the winds blow...the fishing is still great! Where did that cold front come from this week? I had to check my drivers license to make sure I hadn't woke up in the wrong state! We were out on Tuesday and it was cold....cold....cold..... But as always in Florida, it's gonna warm up by the weekend and looks like great fishing weather ahead.
Low Temps Lower Tides and Fish Still Under The Birds by Ernie Eickenhorst (2006-11-21 14:58:44)
[Sabine Lake] We have been catching lots of trout with a few redfish under the birds when the wind allows. The best baits have been Tidal Surge Split Tails in Glow chartreuse and American Midnight on ¼ once heads. The birds don't want to hold on the fish long so watch for the shrimp when you come up on a flock of gulls working. Hoginars have been by far the best bait for reds will fishing the birds.
