[Venice,LA] So much for swordfish,..forgot all about them..This is a fish we have had our sights on since this summer when I had another girl just miss beating the current 48 pound wahoo by 3 pounds..that and her mom touched the rod while she was harnessing up so we know the rules no help..Noelle is no stranger to offshore fishing having landed a small backfin tuna a month before her 3rd birthday as her first offshore fish.

[Hopedale,LA] Finally turned that corner and got on the fish. Bernie, Charlie, Joe and Cory were my guest today. I headed toward the outside to work the edges of Black bay to try for the bigger trout today. After few hours with only 17 in the box I turned back toward the marsh it was 9:30 and I was a little worried I may not find good bite this late.

[Shreveport,LA] Most of the bass have come out of the grass and pad mix using a V&M Pork Shad(super fluke) in colors of watermelon/red and junebug fishing them over and through the hydrilla and pads on the creek and slough edges. Texas rigged watermelon candy/chartreuse tail High Tails(brushhog) pitched along the edges of the creeks is working well. A white Bow Bend Buzzbait fished over the pads has caught some real decent sized bass also.

[Hopedale,LA] Had another windy day, but not a blow out. Had a 2 boat trip today with the guy's from Bellco Electric ready for some fishing action. Started off into windy conditions. Both boats headed to a protected area and found the birds diving and shrimp jumping and we all know what that means, Trout jumping in the boat. Got some in the box before moving on.

[Hopedale,LA] CPB crew got a good day of fihing inthe hot October Sun. Bubba, John, Rodney, and Biff down to Hopedale for a nice cool weather fall fishing trip. NOT well they got the fish but boy was it hot for Oct 3rd I think it got up to 90 today. We started off with a thick fog which kept us from running until about 8:00 AM. Went to where I left the trout only to find them not home.

[Venice,LA] This is a report written by Kai Dominick who fished with me on the 27th with family and friends. The goal was to put a few tuna in the box along with a sword. I couldn't make the tuna bite happen with all of the cudas and wahoo cutoffs. But I was able to make the swords bite. I have found a new bait for mako shark and that is a Yamaha F150 we had a mako do it's best to chew both lower units off.

[Hopedale,LA] Limits of Trout and Reds in the Hopedale masrh today. Sal and Wife Evelyn had a knock down drag running day today. Started out with the speck's under the birds. Evelyn was flipping them in left and right she said she had not been fishing in over 10 years WOW I can't even imagine that.

[Hopedale,LA] Larry and crew back for the trout this time. A few weeks back Larry and crew got in the bull reds good and a few trout. Today I was determined to get them into some serious trout catching. We got right into action first thing drifting some lagoons using popping corks with live shrimp and plastics.

[Venice,LA] Billfish and dolphin and yellowfin tuna are all over the place offshore right now..I heard an eddy from the mother loop spun off two weeks ago and I guess it has made it way to the Central Gulf in range of us day fisherman..evidentslly there was a tournament out of the panhandle where 80 billfish were tagged, released or brought to the dock..including a near grander fish..
