[Shell Beach] The water was like glass and the Trout were eating up on Campo's live shrimp under cork. When the bite slowed down we made a move and found some more Trout. The bite was a lot slower, but the size was a lot better. Mixed in with the Trout were a lot of Sheepshead.

[Pine Island Sound] Strong tides with big afternoon highs gave us good opportunities for a host of fish around the waters of Pine Island. The bite wasn't always red hot, possibly due to the full moon, but fishing was good overall each day.

Anglers fishing with me on my Action Craft flats skiff the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, caught and released snook, reds, trout and Spanish mackerel during the past couple of weeks. Fly anglers fishing the ICW at night near Venice averaged more than 20 snook to 27” on several trips.
