    [Port St. Lucie] Bridges have been holding sheephead, sand perch and black drum. There have been catches of croakers, but I haven't had many reports of them as yet. Pompano turned on for some anglers along the beaches this week. I received a number of reports of nice pompano catches by those using shrimp or sand fleas in the surf. Bluefish, Spanish mackerel and jacks have been hanging around the inlet and surf. Grouper have been hitting around the turning basin for us a couple of days this week. Ladyfish and jacks are everywhere!

    [Palm Beach] Spring Snookin.Huge Jack. Peacock bass bite pickin up. The Palm Beach area has been on fire lately holding huge Jacks in the 25-pound class and also producing some nice trout also. The Snapper have also been really thick around the sea walls and dock pilings. There have been a couple surprise catches of some small Gag grouper and Jewfish lately also.

    [Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, had good action the past couple of weeks with Spanish mackerel, bluefish, trout, pompano and reds. The best action was on the deep grass flats of Sarasota Bay and the inshore artificial reefs off Lido Key.

    [Fort Pierce] Red hot trout bite inshore & dolphin bite improving offshore. The inshore fishing has gotten better and better as the week has gone on. But, if this cold front does move in -- who knows what will take place. The trout bite has been red hot for anglers fishing to the south in the river at places like Bear Point, Little Mud Creek and the flats just north of the Jensen Beach Causeway.

    [Wrightsville Beach] Spring action is beginning to take hold. Some redfish and black drum are biting dead shrimp in the waterway and creeks. A few trout are biting artificials and live shrimp at the jetties and up the creeks. A rare small flounder might hit anything, but the big boys have not come in yet. Look for redfish and black drum action to pick very soon.

    [Fort Pierce] Trout bite still strong even with all the wind. he trout have been hanging out in 2 to 3 feet of water. A soft plastic bait or a top water plug has been the way to go. The snapper, sheepshead and black drum are still around the bridges and any other structure you can find. A small live shrimp has been working good for these fish.

    [Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, had good action with Spanish mackerel and bluefish during the past couple of weeks. In addition, we scored with snook, reds and trout in Charlotte Harbor, Sarasota and Terra Ceia Bays. The fastest action was with Spanish mackerel and bluefish in Sarasota Bay. Fishing is also improving in Sarasota for trout and reds.
