[Pine Island Sound] Fishing in southwest Florida changed dramatically over the past week or so as the mild days of fall fell way to our first real winter cold. On many of the days the weather was just too miserable (cold, wind, rain, fog) to attempt fishing, but we are gradually returning to a better weather pattern.

[Sarasota] Anglers fishing with me on my flats skiff the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, caught and released trout, blues, flounder and redfish in skinny water along the east side of Sarasota Bay and in Gasparilla Sound on several trips during the past couple of weeks. Several fronts pushed through our area recently plummeting water temperatures into the high 50's and limiting daytime temperatures to 50' and 60's.

[Mosquito Lagoon] Winter conditions in East Central Florida are here with are cold fronts only a few days apart from each other and record tempatures already prior to the begining of winter on the 21st of December. Fish are adapting to the changes and sight fishing Speckled and schooling Redfish could'nt be better.

[Shell Beach] The fishing right now is some of the best of the year and close to the launch. The mild weather has made for some very nice days to be on the water. The Pat Tesson group of three had a great day. We made one stop in Lake Robin and limited out on Trout.
