[Tampa] The annual circus has arrived on Tampa Bay. Saturday afternoon almost 20 boats converged all within several feet of each other. Mix in multiple hook ups on giant drum and it gets messy.

Good Snook, Red and Trout Action in Sarasota Bay & Gasparilla Sound by

[Sarasota] Anglers fishing Sarasota Bay and Gasparilla Sound with me on my Action Craft flats skiff the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, had good action with catch and release snook, reds, speckled trout, silver trout, Spanish mackerel and bluefish on flies and jigs during the past couple of weeks. The best action was with reds and trout in skinny water and with snook at night in the ICW.

[Hopedale] Early February Report February 8, 2012 By admin Leave a Comment Hey everyone from all of us at Bayou Charters and the Silver Side Lodges, well February has been treating us good due to the warm temperatures that we have had so far this year. The fish have definitely reacted in our favor but are still scattered throughout the marsh of Hopedale. Last week we were still focusing on our favorite fish, the REDFISH, but the trout were showing up also in some of our redfish spots.

[Shell Beach] I had Grady Erwin and his two sons wanted to get out to the Sound and catch a bunch of Sheepshead. The conditions look iffy. The wind forecast was 10-15 and a front with rain was on the way. We left the dock with fog and some breeze blowing. I decided to stop short in the marsh and look for some Reds. We made a couple of stops, but only managed to put two Reds in the box. The tide was low and falling so I decided to give going outside a shot.

[Tampa] Acres of 12" Silver trout are stacked in giant schools pn St. Petersbrug beaches. Just about any live, cut bait or lure fished in 15' off local beaches will score trout after trout.

[Pagosa Springs] Did 3 floats last week on the lower Juan, and fished a few hours on the town stretch. Below the dam the fishing has been very good on the warmer days. If you can hit the river when the temperatures are in the mid – forties and higher the fishing should be good. With that said, currently it is in the 30's and snowing in Pagosa, I should be fishing instead of writing this report. I think it would be a good BWO afternoon!

[San Juan River] The fishing below the dam on the San Juan River has been very good! The water is still on the dirty side, Navajo Resevoior is turning over, but that is not bothering the fish. For the last few weeks we have been catching fish on red larva, grey and black kf's, grey fluff baetis, and my new HCPT, a micro tubbing pheasant tail

I fished the Salmon River with clients in temperatures as low as -38 degrees (not one of my favorite days). Meanwhile, so far this winter has been mild. If these conditions persist February is going to be a good steelhead fishing month.
