[Pine Island Sound] Fishing conditions in Southwest Florida changed almost daily over the past week. We had it all, sunny perfect days with little to no breeze, very windy days with small craft warnings, all day rain days, warm and humid days and cool days. You can sure tell winter is fast approaching.

[Shell Beach] My crew for the day were Larry, Kerry, Bob, and Bob. After a stop by Campo's for some live shrimp we headed over behind Hopedale. The weather was clear, cold, and a very light wind. We started out in deep bayou fishing on the bottom. The guys put a lot of Trout in the boat, but there plenty throwbacks mixed in.

[Sarasota] Anglers fishing Sarasota Bay with me on the Snook Fin-Addict, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, during the past week had good action with trout, blues and pompano on jigs and flies. A couple of trips in lower Tampa Bay also had action with trout, snook and reds. Deep grass flats of Sarasota Bay have been the best option for variety and action.

[Drakensberg] We left Durban at around 04h00 and headed up towards the Drakensburg to the Bushmans River for a day of wild brown river trout fishing. It was overcast and misty all day but not cold. The river water was turbid with about 1.2m (4ft) visibility. We were a little dubious, but decided to go ahead anyway.
