[Indian River] Offshore, kingfish will still be consistent along the inshore reefs and wrecks, and they will remain there as long as the water temperature stays above 68 degrees. When targeting kings, focus on bottom structure in the areas of 8A reef, Pelican Flats, and Bethel Shoals to the south.
Shetucket River Salmon Fishing Report by James Wiesenberg (2007-01-25 19:40:43)
[Shetucket River] Bright flies and hammered spoons drifted exactly the speed of the rivers' drift producing fish up to 14 lbs. Plenty of water , on average, to present deeply fished offerings is the trick this week to hooking up with a large fish. Surface and shallow water fishing has been slow with smaller fish caught when successful.

Light Tackle Inshore Fishing East Central Florida by Tom Van Horn (2007-01-12 04:52:59)
[Indian River] Light tackle inshore fishing report from Florida's east central coast. On Saturday, my good friend Larry Carter joined me for a day of shad and crappie looking on the upper St. Johns River. The weather was actually not bad, but the catching was tough. We covered the river from the Econ Creek south of Lake Harney to the mouth of Lake Jussep and back, and our grand total for the day was one speck, one bluegill, one stump knocker, and one shad.
Winter Fishing Lagoon Coast Florida by Tom Van Horn (2006-12-30 16:16:32)
[Indian River] Fishing Forecast for the Indian River Lagoon Coast. The New Year is upon us, and this year I resolve to challenge every Floridian new and old to take at least one additional measure in 2007 to promote the wise use of resources we love so much. It is as simple as joining a conservation organization like the Coastal Conservation Association, assisting in a local clean up, taking someone who has never fished fishing for their first time, and encouraging those within our circle of influence to do the same.
Indian River Lagoon Fishing Report by Tom Van Horn (2006-12-19 08:22:49)
[Indian River] How many times have you heard local anglers say the fishing is awful during the winter in east central Florida? I've heard things like it's too windy, it's too cold, or the fish are dormant and they don't eat.
Delaware River Bass Fishing by Blaine Mengel (2006-12-16 18:55:42)
[Delaware River] The Belvidere gauge reads 5.3 feet. Water temps average around 42 degrees. We are in the midst of a milder than normal stretch of weather, which bodes really well for the winter bite. Water temps will not respond a great deal due to the low sun angle and cold nights, but anything above normal means fish will still burn calories and need to eat some.
Indian River Lagoon Coast Black Drum Fishing by Tom Van Horn (2006-12-01 06:06:00)
[Indian River] Inshore and Near-shore fishing forecast for December 2006.
Ice Ahead! by Jeff Sundin (2006-11-26 14:17:00)
[Deer River] The past week delivered a bit of a setback for ice fishing enthusiasts by dishing out some brutally nice days. Sunny and calm with daytime temperatures in the high 40 to low 50 degree range doesn't exactly put the ice maker into high gear.
2006 Season In Review In Bangor ME by Kevin Mckay (2006-11-24 12:56:44)
[Kennebec River] All I can say is wow! What a season. I had record numbers of fish caught! I had seven days of more than a 100 fish boated, while smallmouth fishing on the Penobscot River and caught record numbers of land lock salmon on the East Outlet of the Kennebec River.

Indian River Lagoon Fishing Forecast by Tom Van Horn (2006-10-29 07:05:39)
[Indian River] November on the Indian River Lagoon Coast of Florida sets the stage for some of the best fishing experienced all year by Florida east coast anglers. Record cold temperatures have already dropped water temperatures into the seventies along the beach and offshore, and falling water temperatures will increase the feeding activity of larger species. Shorter days, northeast swells, cooler waters, all act as a dinner bell for larger fish preparing for the onset of winter.
Skagit Fall Salmon by Wayne Ackerlund (2006-10-27 17:17:43)
[Skagit River] Seeing alot of Chum salmon in the lower sections as well as a few Coho. The Lower Skagit has been producing a fair number of chum this last week, also finding a few big Coho as well. We also had a nice surprise last week and caught our first hatchery winter run steelhead of the season.

Indian River Lagoon Coast Fishing Report by Tom Van Horn (2006-10-23 18:52:53)
[Indian River] My adventures started on Monday where Mark Blythe joined me for what we hoped would be a day of kayak fishing in the No-Motor Zone. When we arrived at our planned launch site stiff easterly breezes swayed our strategy, and with the yaks still strapped to the roof of the truck we headed to the beach. Operating on good information, I knew the bait was thick in the surf, and our chance for some serious action was good.
Weather Settles Down, Post Turnover Fishing Challenges Anglers by Jeff Sundin (2006-10-21 14:29:14)
[Deer River] Well folks, here's the last update I'll be posting for a week or maybe two. Starting Sunday I'll be going into hunting mode for a week or so and when I get that out of my system, I'll get started with some ice fishing articles and forecasts for the upcoming season. I wouldn't be surprised to be talking about freeze up within the next few weeks.
Walleyes Biting? Who Knows! We Interrupt This Fishing Trip for Winter! by Jeff Sundin (2006-10-12 14:32:24)
[Deer River] You could just feel it coming. It was one of those periods where the fish were just biting too well. Walleyes, Perch, Bluegills and Pike were on a "hot bite" for a week. The action, especially over the weekend had kept steady in spite of high winds, cold water temperatures and heavy fishing pressure.
Penobscot River Maine Fly Fishing by Kevin Mckay (2006-10-09 13:02:33)
[Penobscot River] As I stood in the shower,I thought of the money I would miss out on if I didn't work on Columbus day, double time and a half. I also thought of time I would miss out on with my boys,if I didn't take this free day off. I took the day off minutes before I was going to leave.
Northern Minnesota Fishing Report, New Rules for Cold Water by Jeff Sundin (2006-10-05 14:30:53)
[Deer River] The window of opportunity opens and closes quickly when the weather turns cold and surface temperatures fall into the low fifties. The past week has been a fast transition starting with surface temperatures in what I'd call "prime Walleye fishing range" of 56 to 60 degrees and ending with temperatures in the 53 to 57 degree range.
St Johns River and Lake Monroe Fishing by Tim Fey (2006-09-30 20:15:08)
[St. Johns River] St Johns River and Lake Monroe are fishing good as expected
Northern Minnesota Pre-Turnover Peak Fishing Right Now by Jeff Sundin (2006-09-27 14:33:46)
[Deer River] Have you been waiting for the fishing reports to tell you that fishing has peaked before you venture out? Okay, the fishing is at or near its peak and it's time to venture out. There I said it. I know that there are still a lot of folks out there who'd disagree about the fishing being at its peak right now, but those particular anglers just haven't keyed in (so far) on the one detail that makes or breaks a fishing trip in the fall.
Cool Mornings Turning Trout On by Barry Brown (2006-09-22 15:19:13)
[Pascagoula River] Top water lures are working well on some nice speckled trout in the early mornings. We're catching them mostly around the mouths of bayous that empty into the river.
Indian River Lagoon Coast Fishing by Tom Van Horn (2006-09-15 16:01:51)
[Indian River] As we spin around the sun on our short ride through the universe, we are often challenged by life's hurtles. These challenges test our spirit, strength, courage, and our heart. Even though we think we are prepared, we are soon humbled by reality.

Klamath River Bite is Excellent by Ken Cunningham (2006-08-16 12:27:42)
[Klamath River] The estuary fishing continues to be good to excellent except the last few days, where it seems that this low weather front has caused them to go off the bite.
