[Lake Sinclair] Bass are biting and the warm weather has fish being caught from relatively shallow water on a variety of baits. Small to medium crank baits, jigs, and Carolina rigs have produced more bass than other baits.

[Lake Seminole] Largemouth bass fishing has been fair and there are some fish shallow in the creeks and they are stuck heavily under the grass beds. Zoom Bush Hogs on a pegged Texas rig may work on the grass beds but be sure to use a heavy weight to get though the grass.

Big Fishing Are Starting To Show Up by
Robert Eidson

[Lake Allatoona] Line sides fishing is still good for big fish this week and the numbers are starting to pick up. We aren't loading the boat, but if you fish hard you can catch 10-15 on any given day. Mid-lake seems to be the best. There is still fish on the south end of the lake. But there is a lot of people fishing for them down there.

[Weiss Lake] World Famous Weiss Lake Alabama The Crappie Capital of the World and Striper Capital of the South ! The Largmouth are being caught on several patterns. Gravel and rocky secondary points are producing well using crank baits and Rat L Traps. Deeper rocky banks and rip rap with 6 feet of water or more is also producing well on crank baits and jigs. The Spotted Bass have moved up shallow on points, sand bars and shallow humps in the mid to lower lake.

Fising Lake Fork Roadbeds With Jigging Spoons by
Jim Reaneau

[Lake Fork] Fishing main lake points, humps and roadbeds with jigging spoons and small jigs. Well, the week has been slow with Christmas right around the corner. Most have shopping on their minds and fishing is way back on the back burner. We have had a mist that lasted about two days but no rain to amount to anything. The lake still is holding about 5.5 low. The water temp has remained at low 50's to the upper 40's. The deep bite has still been my best pattern. Jigging spoons, small jigs, and tail spinners have been the best baits. The shallow bite has been fair on lipless crank baits.

[Lake Conroe] Hybrids feeding early on shad early near the dam area of Lake Conroe. Watch the birds. The Lake is just below pool and there is plenty of good fishing water on all the shorelines. The water temperature continues to fluxuate in the high 50's to low 60's with the Southeast wind warming the water the past few days. The wind has been calm to 5-10 making fishing very easy in all areas of the Lake. Early and late fishermen have found the lake very smooth to slick.

Winter Fishing Lake Fork Over Deep Main Humps by
Jim Reaneau
(2006-12-15 07:07:38)
[Lake Fork] Winter fishing over deep Main humps, roadbeds, and Main Lake Points. The shallow bite was about ¼ the way back in the mouths on main lake creeks. We flipped every piece of wood and it took many flips before you got a bite. Some bites were just mush. You will have to stay in tune with your line. If you are not paying attention you will probably not catch a fish.

The fish on the points are on the edge of the hydrilla beds. Shad colored crank bait have proven to be successful on the rocks and along bulkheads.

[Lake Allatoona] Line-sides Fishing is Still Great Guys nothing has change since last week. Keep fishing the same way your have been. Planner Boards and flat lines at sun up and sun down. And troll the rest of the day. Fishing on Allatoona and Carters is at it's best. Get the kid and go . Mid-lake is still the place to be. There are tons of fish between Kellogg Creek and Stamp Creek right now. This is the only part of the lake I have needed to fish in the past 3 weeks. There may be some fish up in Allatoona Creek I just haven't been that far south in weeks.

[Lake Cumberland] Well, it was Thanksgiving weekend again and the weather was great. The temperature was between 65 to 70 degrees during the day and it was sunny. This kind of weather normally “scatters” the fish and that was certainly the case. We hunted and hunted (and hunted!!!!) the first day for an active school, but just didn't have any luck. As I always tell you, if my report said we caught a limit every time you would know it was a lie.

[Lake Fork] Fishing Lake Fork After a major cold front. Fishing shallow and deep. Well, the week started out gang busters. We had 42 on Tuesday and I thought the fishing report for the end of the month was on track. It read that the last two weeks of November would be a banner two weeks. Well, Wrong!!!This week was a tough one for me. After all the fish on Tuesday and then the bottom fell out.

[Barkely Lake] Both lakes are 1.5 ft over winter pool. Both lakes went up late last week to 2.5 ft over winter pool because of heavy rains. The lakes are being drawn back down now to winter pool. The bass fishing was pretty good earlier in the week but slowed down over the past two days with flat water, high pressure and blue skies.

[Lake Allatoona] Line side fishing is Very Good right now. The bait is still out over the river channel and so are the fish. Down lines are working best right now. And the fish are deep. The best bite is between 24-40 feet deep. Gizzard shad and threadfins are working best. Mid lake seems to be holding most of the bait and fish right now. But in the next couple of weeks we should start seeing more bait on the south end of the lake and with the bait comes the fish.

[Sabine Lake] We have been catching lots of trout with a few redfish under the birds when the wind allows. The best baits have been Tidal Surge Split Tails in Glow chartreuse and American Midnight on ¼ once heads. The birds don't want to hold on the fish long so watch for the shrimp when you come up on a flock of gulls working. Hoginars have been by far the best bait for reds will fishing the birds.

[Lake Harris] Anglers from all over Alabama travel the world in search of big, largemouth bass. Really all they have to do is stay right here in Alabama and fish Lake Harris this winter season. Truly big largemouth bass, (many ranging from 10-16 pounds have been taken in years past), they do exist on this lake...a lake many Alabama anglers have never even fished.

Winter Fishing on Lake Martin by

[Lake Martin] Finding a Lake to fish this winter that is similar to fishing Lake Martin would be difficult. It is lake unlike any lake in Alabama. At times it can throw a curve ball at the best angler around and succeed in striking him out. But there are times, like during winter, when a persistent angler can have high hopes of loading the boat or successfully succeed in fooling one of the years biggest spotted bass or largemouth bass.
